The Bradford City of Culture Logo
The original logo was based on a David Hockney photographic montage called
"One Landscape, Many Views" and is made up of different coloured
pixels (small dots of colour) which make up the letter "B" for Bradford.

Paul Brookes, Director of the Bradford Capital of Culture Campaign said in
a Telegraph & Argus report (9/2/02) "The design reflects Bradford‘s transition
from the textile industry to the age of telecommunications. Pixels are the dots
which make up things like photographs and television screens. We are showing
that Bradford is looking forward to the future - the future is digital".

The above version of the logo is based on photographs taken in and around
Bradford by BPS members. It is made up of 12 primary images in the shape
of a lower-case "b" together with 8 secondary half-toned images.
Moving your mouse over the logo and clicking on any image will bring up
an enlarged version of the image and descriptive comments.
You can also cycle through the 12 primary images in a random sequence
(both forwards and backwards) if you so wish.

The resulting One Landscape, Many Views Gallery is a unique interpretation
of the campaign logo - please explore and enjoy our City and its surroundings.
