Grandads Clock and Chair, Bradford

Grandad‘s Clock & Chair by Colin Sutton

Amusing sculpture carved from sandstone depicting a mill owners office with
a comfy chair, mirror and grandfather clock erected on the slope of Chapel
Street in Little Germany - the old business quarter of Bradford.
The swinging pendulum indicates that time does not stand still.

Commisioned by Bradford Council and Little Germany Action Group in 1991
from contemporary sculptor Timothy Shutter at a cost of 5000 UK pounds.
Erected here in 1992 and fast became a popular tourist attraction.
