Brontë Parsonage, Haworth by Geoff Richards
This old bleak stone house on the edge of the Pennine Moors was once the home of
Rev Patrick Brontë whilst incumbent of the nearby church between 1820 and 1861.
It was here that three of his daughters, Charlotte, Emily and Anne, lived and
wrote their now famous books.
The old Parsonage was handed over in 1928 to the Brontë Society and restored to
its 1850s period style and is now a museum of Brontë relics attracting over a
quarter of a million visitors each year.
