BPS/RPS Audio Visual Workshop

The Bradford Photographic Society in conjunction the Yorkshire region of the Royal Photographic Society presented an Audio Visual Workshop on Saturday 4th October 1975 in the concert hall of the Eastbook Hall which attracted a full house for the lectures and demonstrations related to the fast developing Audio-Visual field. The BPS Ladies Social Committee provided an outstanding buffet lunch in the adjacent Bradford Playhouse.

The specialist lectures and demos included:
Technique of the Dissolve and Dissolvers by Sir George F. Pollock Bt, MA. FRPS, FRSA and Vice President of the Royal Photographic Society.

Compiling an Audio-Visual Sequence - How it's done by Charles V. Mitchell, ARPS.

Introduction to Hi-Fi Stereo Tape Recording for A/V Work by Colin L. Sutton.

Up, Up and Away - Latest slide/sound sequences by Ray Brightman, FRPS.

Question and Answer Session, followed by:

Pollocks Pictorial Peepshow by Sir George Pollock, Bt, FRPS, FRSA
and Lady Doreen Pollock, FRPS.

The event was much publicised in the local press and photographic magazines and did much to boost the interest in Audio-Visual work in the region.
