W.E Forster by Colin Sutton

William Edward Forster (1818-1886) - Liberal MP for Bradford for 25 years and responsible for the 1870 Elementary Education Act, the first National Education Act in this country. The bronze statue unveilled in 1890 is 9 feet tall weighing over 2 tons and is currently in storage during the redevelopment of Bradford's Forster Square/Broadway area.
